Settling is unsatisfying. Why not live remarkably?
Your journey continues. It always does until you meet Jesus. It is what life is like whether we like it or not. I like it. There is a drive within all of us until it is quenched. Life can do that, but I do not believe it is designed to be like that. Your journey, our journey, is to advance. We advance as individuals, and we grow as communities.
Be open. Love others. Don't settle. Enjoy the journey.
God has a plan. He always does. He wants us to go FROM where we are TO our next destination.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV)
18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Total Life Pursuit's mission is to help people get to their next degree of glory. The Greek puts it, "from glory into glory." The mission of Total Life Pursuit came from my own mission. It came from God's revelation that I had settled in the land of a certain glory and wasn't moving on from there. It wasn't the spiritual area of my life, but I was stagnant in some of the other areas. This is not God's plan. God's plan is movement. Forward movement. There is much to unpack in the above verse, but if you could give just a few days of thought to whether you are going somewhere in your life. Are you increasing? Are you getting to another level of glory? Are you doing it in all areas of life?
The transformation is power by God. However, we are best transformed through a communal process rather than individualism. My marriage to Lora has been the most powerful transformational tool God has used in my life. Another impacting tool was Pastor Dave. Still, another was the churches I have been a part of throughout my life. In our "quiet times" with God, many transformational things happen. Everything we have comes through a relationship with God. He puts us into a community/gathering of people used to transform us. If you look at the verse again, it begins with, "and WE all." Your journey continues, and I am here, Total Life Pursuit is here, the gathering you associate with is here to help you get to your next level of glory. In turn, you help others get to their next level of glory because you are a part of a community. Then, the community attains another level of glory.
